REFUSE FREIGHTER
Aylesbury Vale District Council provides a Roving Village Refuse Freighter Service that visits the village on 5 or 6 occasions each year. The Refuse Freighter parks in the Garage Area in Millfield Avenue and stays for 3½ hours on the days concerned - details of the dates and times are advertised in advance on the village notice boards and in Life Together (see Calendar).
This service is intended for domestic customers to deposit items of bulky household waste into the vehicle. The freighter is operated by the driver, and he also controls the type of waste that is deposited.
Should residents wish to arrange a special collection, this is a chargeable service - telephone 01295 585510.

PARISH MAGAZINE
Life Together is a village newsletter produced by the Anglican Churches and distributed free to every house in Barton Hartshorn, Calvert Green, Charndon, Chetwode, Edgcott, Grendon Underwood, Kingswood, Marsh Gibbon, Poundon, Preston Bissett and Twyford. It is produced and distributed every month with the exception of August.
